Changelog

Every update to Circuit Timer, newest first.

v1.1

Latest August 22, 2026

New

  • Lock Screen countdown. The Lock Screen and Dynamic Island now show a countdown for your current interval while a workout runs.
  • Live workout card on Apple Watch. Your current interval and countdown appear in the Smart Stack, even with the watch app closed. Add the Circuit Timer widget to your Smart Stack to see it.
  • Wrist taps and heart rate for phone workouts. Following a phone timer on your watch now taps your wrist at each interval and shows your live heart rate.

Improvements

  • Sounds play over your music. Interval and finish sounds no longer interrupt what you are listening to.
  • Cues keep working through interruptions. Phone calls and other audio no longer silence the rest of your workout.
  • Fewer notifications. Workout cues now play as sounds instead of notification banners.

Bug Fixes

  • Workouts save to Apple Health reliably. Saving no longer depends on when the app was launched.
  • Smoother Apple Watch audio. Interval sounds no longer stutter or lag on the watch.
  • Dozens of smaller fixes across timers, widgets, the watch app, history, and purchases.

v1.0.3

July 1, 2026

Bug Fixes

  • Start with Siri & Shortcuts now works. Running the “Start Circuit” action from Siri or the Shortcuts app now actually starts the timer you picked. Previously it opened the app but left the timer sitting on the start screen — a problem for anyone using it hands-free.
  • Quick Start widget starts your circuit. Tapping a circuit in the home-screen Quick Start widget now launches that circuit straight into the player instead of just opening the app.
